Aberfeldy offers comfortable accommodation for up to 18 persons. We are situated exactly 2.2 km from the city centre and within walking distance of shopping centres, cinemas, schools and restaurants - also very close to the private hospitals, Scottsville race course and Scottsville bowling green. For events such as the Comrades Marathon (we are literally 600 metres from the finish), Duzi Canoe Marathon, Midmar Mile you can t go wrong staying with us. Aberfeldy Bed & Breakfast is Pietermaritzburg and Hilton Bed & Breakfast Network accredited, a member of Midlands Bed & Breakfast Association and Pietermaritzburg Tourism accredited.

All rooms, except the cabin, are en-suite (i.e. bathroom off the bedroom). Rooms have TV with M-Net, each with its own fridge, cooking utensils and coffee/tea making facilities. Secure parking is available on the property.

All guests may park inside the property on the ample grounds available.

Children are welcome, but we can unfortunately not accommodate pets.

Please enquire about our rates. We provide a self-catering rate and a no breakfast rate (incl. extra trimming such as chocolates, sherry, room servicing).

Our double rooms have either queen-size or 3/4 beds. Business people are advised to ask for a room with a desk if this is necessary. Units are all fitted with either showers or shower attachments, and all except the cabin have a bath.

Breakfast is served in the main house in the spacious dining room.

Relax in the privacy of your own unit in the park-like garden or enjoy the space of the annexe room. All rooms have self-catering facilities, including our air-conditioned wooden cabin. A delicious breakfast is served in our beautiful Victorian home. Close to university, schools, hospitals, restaurants, casino, cinemas and city centre. Ample parking with remote-control access. Aberfeldy Bed & Breakfast is a gracious Victorian home, built in 1897 and situated in the suburb of Scottsville on the Durban side of Pietermaritzburg.

Accommodation:

We have 5 well-equipped, clean and comfortable non-smoking rooms. "The Annexe", has its own private entrance and covered veranda overlooking the garden and is attached to the main house. The remaining 4 rooms are contained in cottages in the garden. Each cottage has its own private entrance, either a patio or covered verandah, bedroom, lounge, en-suite bathroom and kitchen or kitchenette area. Two rooms have a double bed and 3 rooms have 2 single beds. All rooms are non-smoking. Smoking is only allowed out in the garden.
