Born in Africa Lizzard & Sishika

Located in the northern parts of Balgowan along the Midlands Meander

Born in Africa Lizzard & Sishika is located in the northern parts of Balgowan along the Midlands Meander.  Born in Africa offers handstiched leather shoes and sandles, outdoor and children's clothing.

When driving to this  unique African crafts and Lizzard &Sishika footwear factory shop, you are greeted by ostriches, I'm not sure if ostriches once roamed the Midlands region, but they seem to be happy surrounded by the green grassland!

Born In Africa offers the largest range of footwear on the Meander, the majority of which is produced by our own factory in Pietermaritzbug. Our Sishika range offers Goodyear welted footwear, comfortable genuine stitch-down boots and shoes, and our own original hand-stitched styles.

We offer guaranteed comfort, durability and a uniqueness stemming from all or own designs as indvidual as the people making them and the Balgowan Valley in which we are situated.

We are also the Lizzard / Lizzy footwear factory shop for surf and skating footwear.

Born In Africa is the craft enthusiasts haven, offering an array of genuine African curios and art.

From our deli, one can select from an assortment of locally produced cheese, pickles, oils, condiments, biltong, and there is plenty to satisfy the sweet tooth.

Our clothing is yet another avenue to be explored.

Mom and dad get the chance to shop in peace as there is plenty to interest the kids from free pony rides to the jumping-castle or perhaps meeting our farm animal friends.

Open daily from 9:00am to 4:30pm.
