Fort Nottingham Nature Reserve

The Fort Nottingham Nature Reserve is a small reserve slightly west of the village of Nottingham Road, and well worth a visit. The reserve consists of evergreen forest, grassland and a wetland. It is an easy area in which to walk, and there is a trail that passes through the grassland, alongside and across the wetland, and up into the forest. To walk the whole area should not take more than about two hours. There is a picnic site (no toilets) near the wetland, and entrance is free. Visitors are invited to go birding, cycling and walking through the Reserve.
