Kamberg was aptly named in description of the very prominent hill between the Natal Midlands and Drakensberg by the Afrikaaner.

Kamberg is the Afrikaans word for Comb hill and that is exactly what the prominent hill looks like - the top of a rooster's comb!

The Kamberg is a beautiful landscape tapestry of mountains, lakes, trout streams, rolling grasslands and verdant fields, in the foothills of the Drakensberg and inhabited by sometimes rather strange but nonetheless harmless and likeable people.

Kamberg nestles in the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park , its central position ideal for visits to many other well known Berg areas from Loteni to Giants Castle.
