Mountain Biking in the Midlands and Drakensberg regions of Natal

Mountain Biking is a fantastic way to explore the countryside of the Drakensberg and Natal Midlands. There are many dirt roads along the meander and then there are dirt tracks on many of the farms. Visitors can spend the day pedaling from one spot to another, stopping to enjoy home-made-lemon juice, tea & scones on one or another garden along the way. Professional mountain bike tracks are available from quite a few venues, however, these are for the exclusive use of over-night guests.

There are annual mountain bike races that take place throughout the year such as the Karkloof Challenge, Glengarry Challenge, Giants Castle Challenge as well as other smaller racing events that take place.
