Pet FriendlyAccommodation venues that allow petsThere are places in the Midlands that do allow pets to join you on holiday. These venues includes self catering accommodation, B&B accommodation and guesthouse accommodation. It is advisable to book well in advance as the venues that are pet-friendly are, few and far between. Very few venues will permit untrained dogs, so those of you with puppies must please come prepared with "water-proof" beds. Owners of pets are asked to clean up after their pets have done their business, so remember to take your "poop-scoop"! Some venues only permit small breed dogs, others will not take lap dogs, so it is very important for you to tell us what breed or if you dont know, then, advise us of the size of your dogs. Caged birds can make a mess too, please take extra newspaper to put around and under the cage. We do not mind cats in transit, but for holiday visits we do not allow you to take cats as domestic cats pose a threat to the wild cats found naturally in the midlands - we do not need to destroy the wild cat#s bloodline by "permitting" cross breeding, so unless your cat is nuted or spayed, please do not even ask us for availbility. We regret we do not support tamed wild animals. The Midlands and Drakensberg is located in the Ukahlamba World Heritage Site and we want to protect the fauna and flora, respect the wildlife and remove all alien species in the region.
