Weston Agricultural College

One of the finest agricultural schools in South Africa, Weston is located near Mooi River on the R622 between Mooi River and Greytown

A firm foundation for farming is laid by Weston Agricultural College at Mooi River in KwaZulu/Natal. Established on a historic site in 1914, this secondary school accepts learners in Grade 8 and guides them to matriculation in their Grade 12 year. The exemplary way in which this is being done has earned Weston a Departmental Award for Academic Excellence.

Weston not only allows a learner to take a  matriculation certificate with him when he matriculates from Weston, but also the possibility of one or more additional, recognised qualifications gained by attending courses offered by Weston. These courses are presented outside of the normal curriculum by various accredited institutions.

The exciting part about this school, is that Weston Agricultural College offers learners practical, hands-on agricultural experience in a real, genuine agricultural setting. Eleven farming enterprises are being run on the school's 1 200 ha of farmland.

Weston is high school for boys, equipping them for life with sound Christian principals, good discipline, a hard working ethos, practical hands on farming skills and a sound matric qualification as well as various certificates from courses attended during their stay here. A range of sports on offer ensures that their potential in this area is also explored. Being a small school of 220 boys allows for good teacher-learner ratios, small class sizes and family like atmosphere lacking in larger institutions.
