Wheelchair Friendly / Wheelchair accessible Drakensberg and Natal MidlandsMany of the Drakensberg and Natal Midlands establishments offer special wheelchair accessibility facilities.There are Wheelchair friendly Facilities in the Midlands and Drakensberg to allow those who are physically challenged to still experience the country.We don't believe the "wheelchair-friendly" adverts, after a member of my family had to use a wheelchair I suddenly became aware of what it means to be wheelchair-friendly and wheelchair accessible! We inspect the venues and make sure someone who is in a wheelchair can make use of the accommodation and recreational facilities. Obviously each person has different needs so we ask you to please advise us of how physically challenged you are, so that we may provide you with accommodation that suits your disability. There are venues in the Midlands that cater for disabled tourists from self-catering cottages and B&B units to luxury lodges. The Drakensberg however, is more limited for tourists with disabilities.
