Winterton MuseumHistorical buildingWinterton was originally called Springvale but was later named Winterton after The little Museum is located just off the main street (part of the R74) in Church street. It contains information about the farming community, Bushmen rock art in the region, the Zulu nation as well as the Battles at Vaalkrans and Spionkop. The other exhibits include a blacksmith shop and the voting for the 'New South Africa'. The Winterton Museum, which has an excellent library on the Anglo-Boer War, also features local history and an Amazizi replica homestead and agricultural implements.
